NOTICE OF CANCELLATIONS OF REGULAR ELECTIONS

BY THE DESIGNATED ELECTION OFFICIAL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by The Highlands Metropolitan District Nos. 1-5, Weld County, Colorado, that at the close of business on the sixty-third (63rd) day before the elections there were not more candidates for director than offices to be filled at the elections, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates; therefore, the elections to be held on May 6, 2025 are hereby cancelled pursuant to §1-13.5-513, C.R.S.

 

The following candidates for director are declared elected by acclamation to each of the Boards of The Highlands Metropolitan District Nos. 1-5:

Robert A. Lembke, 4-year term, until May 2029

Brent Schantz, 4-year term, until May 2029

Joshua Shipman, 4-year term, until May 2029

NOTICE OF INDEPENDENT MAIL BALLOT ELECTIONS

TO BE CONDUCTED BY

The Highlands Metropolitan District Nos. 1-5

ON MAY 6, 2025

PURSUANT TO §§ 1-13.5-1105(2)(d), 1-13.5-502, C.R.S.

 

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, and, particularly, to the electors of the The Highlands Metropolitan District Nos. 1-5, Weld County, Colorado (collectively, the “Districts”).

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that elections will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 for the purpose of: authorizing the imposition of property taxes and the issuance of debt; and submitting questions regarding the collection, retention and spending of revenues.

 

These elections shall be conducted as special district independent mail ballot elections only. Ballots will be distributed by U.S. Mail to all active registered electors of the Districts no earlier than April 14, 2025, and no later than April 21, 2025. The address for application and return of mail ballots is The Highlands Metropolitan District Nos. 1-5, c/o Law Office of Michael E. Davis, LLC, 1151 Eagle Drive, Suite 366, Loveland, CO 80537, Attn: D.E.O.. Ballots must be received at this location by 7:00 p.m. on May 6, 2025 to be counted.
